Hosting

Managed hosting for websites and applications

The same infrastructure we run our own commercial platforms on. SSL, backups, monitoring, patching and deployment pipelines — handled, so that hosting stops being something you have to think about.

Plans

Three levels, priced by what it has to do

The plan you land on depends on resources and complexity, not on how many pages you have. Each one includes a monthly usage allowance of the same value as the plan. All prices exclude VAT.

Starter

For brochure sites, content sites and small shops.

£15/month

  • £15 of included usage every month
  • Up to 48 vCPU and 48 GB memory per service
  • Up to 6 replicas per service
  • 7 days of log history
  • Free SSL certificate, renewed automatically
  • Daily off-site backups, 30-day retention
  • Uptime monitoring every 60 seconds
  • Email support, next working day

Business

For live business systems, ecommerce and web applications.

£55/month

  • £55 of included usage every month
  • Up to 1,000 vCPU and 1 TB memory per service
  • Up to 42 replicas per service
  • 30 days of log history
  • Unlimited team seats
  • Separate staging environment
  • Managed PostgreSQL with point-in-time recovery
  • Automated deployment pipeline from Git
  • Priority bug fixes during working hours

Enterprise

For multi-tenant SaaS, regulated data and anything with real load.

Quoted

  • Everything in Business
  • Dedicated virtual machines
  • Contractual uptime SLA in writing
  • Single sign-on and role-based access control
  • Audit logs and data-retention controls
  • HIPAA business associate agreements where required
  • Named support contact
  • Capacity planning reviewed quarterly

Usage beyond the included allowance

Metered by the second on what your services actually use, drawn against your monthly allowance first. You are billed for the resources consumed, not for a reserved box sitting idle overnight.

Compute
£55 per vCPU / month

Charged on what a service actually uses, not what it could use.

Memory
£28 per GB / month

Most brochure sites never leave the included allowance.

Volume storage
£0.41 per GB / month

Persistent disk for databases, uploads and generated files.

Network egress
£0.14 per GB

Traffic leaving the platform. Inbound traffic is free.

Every project we build includes the first three months of managed hosting at no extra cost, so nothing goes live and then immediately starts costing you money.

What managed means

Six things a cheap hosting plan will not do

You can host a site for two pounds a month. Here is what you are not getting for it.

It is monitored, not just hosted

Every site we host is checked around the clock. If it goes down, we are alerted before your customers are — and on managed plans we are usually fixing it before anyone has emailed you.

Backups you can actually restore

Daily off-site backups of files and database, with a restore we have tested. A backup nobody has ever restored is not a backup, it is a hope.

Staging before production

Changes get proved on a copy of your live environment first. Nothing goes to your customers because it looked fine on a developer’s laptop.

Patching is included

Frameworks, libraries and operating system packages get updated as part of the plan. Most hacked sites are not clever attacks — they are known holes nobody closed.

Speed is part of the deal

CDN, image optimisation, caching and compression are configured properly. Page speed is a ranking factor and a conversion factor, so we treat it as hosting, not a luxury.

No lock-in

You own the code and the data. If you ever want to move, we export everything and help you hand it over. We would rather you stayed because it works.

Moving in

Migrating from your current host

A move usually takes an afternoon and, done properly, nobody notices.

  1. 01

    We audit what you have

Stack, versions, database size, cron jobs, email records and anything unusual. You get an honest yes or no on whether we can support it.

  2. 02

    We build a copy

Files and database are restored onto our infrastructure and tested on a temporary URL. Nothing touches your live site.

  3. 03

    We lower DNS TTL

A day before the switch, so propagation happens in minutes rather than hours.

  4. 04

    We switch and watch

DNS points at the new environment at a quiet time, SSL is issued, and we monitor closely for 48 hours before decommissioning anything.

Questions

Hosting FAQs

Including the ones about getting your data back out.

Do I have to host with you if you build my site?

No. You own the code and you can host it anywhere — your own servers, your existing provider, or a cloud account in your name. Most clients stay with us because it means one number to call when something is wrong, but it is never a condition.

Can you host a site somebody else built?

Usually. We will take a look at what it is built on first — modern PHP, Node, Python and static sites are all straightforward. If it is on something we cannot support properly we will say so rather than take the money and hope.

What is included in the migration?

Migration is free on annual plans and charged at a half day on monthly ones. We copy files and databases, set up SSL, test everything on a temporary URL, then switch DNS at a quiet time. Downtime is usually zero and never more than a few minutes.

Where is the hosting physically located?

UK and EU data centres by default, which keeps latency low for British visitors and keeps data residency simple. If you need a specific region for compliance reasons, tell us and we will provision there.

What is your uptime like?

We target 99.9% and publish incidents honestly. The infrastructure underneath is the same we use for our own commercial platforms — if it goes down, our products go down too, which is a decent incentive.

Do you provide email hosting?

We configure DNS for whichever email provider you use — Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace are the usual two — and we will set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC so your mail actually reaches inboxes. We do not run mail servers ourselves; specialists do it better.

What happens if traffic spikes?

Business and Enterprise plans scale automatically within a ceiling you agree with us, so a mention in the press or a busy weekend does not take you offline. Usage above your monthly allowance is metered at the published rates — there are no surprise multipliers, and we will tell you when a spike has moved your bill rather than letting you find out on the invoice.

Is there a contract?

Monthly plans are rolling with 30 days’ notice. Annual plans are paid up front at a discount. No minimum term of two years, no exit fee, no holding your DNS hostage.

Tired of chasing your hosting company?

Send us the domain and we will tell you what you are currently on, what it would cost to move, and whether moving is even worth it.
